The Philips OnSite (also known as HeartStart) is the ONLY Automated External Defibrillator (AED) approved by the FDA for home use. It may also be suitable for your business, but please check our Workplace products before making a decision.

  The Family Package is recommended for homes with small children (weighing 55 pounds or less). Even if your home does not include a small child all the time, but small children often visit (i.e., grandchildren), you should consider this option. It includes the following items, illustrated below:
  • Everything as described in the Adult Package above PLUS
  • Infant/Child SMART Pad cartridge (which fits into the carrying case in the spot reserved for a spare SMART Pad cartridge)

The Fast Response Kit is a 5.5 x 9.5 zippered pouch which can be attached to the handle of the carrying case and includes the following items:

  • 2 pair of hypoallergenic nitrile gloves

  • 1 Laerdal pocket breathing mask

  • 1 pair of paramedic scissors (in case you need to cut away clothing)

  • 1 Gallant chest hair razor

The Philips OnSite Defibrillator is compact, lightweight and designed to be used by just about anyone. It can easily be carried to the victim's site and provides clear verbal instructions to guide you, the first responder, through each step of defibrillation and CPR. The Defibrillator instructs you in the placement of the paddles and then assesses the victim's condition. You absolutely cannot accidentally apply a shock to a person who does not need one as the equipment will not permit it. When you purchase the defibrillator, it comes with the following items:

  • 1 Adult SMART Pads cartridge

  • 1 Lithium battery, pre-installed and warranted for 4 years

  • 1 Quick Start Poster
  • 1 Quick Reference Guide
  • Owner's Manual

This Slim Carrying Case is constructed of semi-rigid materials and covered in durable red cordura. The case holds the OnSite Defibrillator and a pair of paramedic scissors.

Like the Slim Carrying Case, the Standard Carrying Case is constructed of semi-rigid materials and covered in durable red cordura. It also comes equipped with a pair of paramedic scissors and can accommodate one spare pad cartridge and a spare battery pack. This is the recommended case and is included in both the Adult and the Family packages. When purchased with a defibrillator, it's only $99!

This battery is a disposable, lithium manganese dioxide, long-life battery that will typically last for four years with the defibrillator in standby mode. Non-installed shelf life is about 8 years.

The Adult SMART Pads are appropriate for cardiac arrest victims 8 years and older, or weighing above 55 pounds (25kg).

The Infant/Child SMART Pads are appropriate when a child weighing 55 pounds or less (or less than 8 years old) suffers a Sudden Cardiac Arrest -- yes, it happens!
